Chalking

The formation of white, chalky powder on the surface of the paint film.

The Causes

  • Mostly happen on solid colour

  • May appear on low film thickness area of clearcoat

How to Fix

  1. Polish the defective areas with Nippon Paint 910 Speed-Cut Compound or Nippon Paint 920 Ultra-Cut Compound
  2. If unsuccessful, sand & clean thoroughly
  3. Repaint with Nax 7000 2K Solid Top Coat, or Nax Premila 8000 Basecoat follow by Nippon Paint range of clear coats.
